About ProDrive Training Academy

ProDrive Training Academy was founded by Roberto “Robert” RamirezMartinez, a United States Marine Corps veteran, husband, and proud father of two, whose leadership is rooted in discipline, service, and professional integrity. With nearly a decade of experience in commercial driver education, Robert built and managed CDL programs across the state of Texas while serving in senior leadership roles at Texas State Technical College (TSTC), including Director of Program Instruction for Workforce Training & Continuing Education and later Manager of Transportation & Professional Academies. During his tenure, he led the expansion of the CDL program to six campuses statewide, overseeing curriculum development, instructor training, regulatory compliance, and operational growth, while supervising more than 24 CDL instructors to ensure consistent, high-quality training standards. A Texas Department of Public Safety–certified Third-Party Skills Commercial Examiner (CCE), Certified Commercial Knowledge Examiner (CCKE), and CCE Train-the-Trainer, Robert is among a select group of educators authorized not only to certify commercial drivers, but also to train and qualify new examiners. His path into transportation began after earning his CDL while pursuing coursework in Business Management at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, following four years of active-duty military service, including a combat deployment to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He ultimately paused completion of his degree to focus on leading large-scale workforce training initiatives—experience that now directly informs ProDrive Training Academy’s disciplined, safety-driven, and student-centered approach. Robert founded ProDrive to bring veteran-level standards, accountability, and leadership directly to individuals seeking meaningful, long-term careers in the transportation industry.
